A pencil and paper, or the questions below.
A parent or guardian to help find an official source.

The goal

Follow the clues

Notice what a message says, who made it, and where you can check it. If the answer is still unclear, “I don’t know yet” is a good finding.

1. Choose a safe, ordinary claim together. 2. Ask: what exactly is the claim? 3. Ask: who made this message, and when? 4. With a grown-up, check an official or firsthand source. 5. Say what you know, what you wonder, and what you would check next.
